The missing label here is “per 100 grams.” That omission does a lot of work.

Example: 100g of chia has ~34g of fiber, but also ~486 calories. 100g of raspberries has ~6.5g of fiber and only ~52 calories. So per 100 calories, raspberries actually provide substantially more fiber.

And somehow the “best protein foods” list includes tofu at 17g/100g but skips things like tempeh (~20g) and seitan (~25g).

The numbers aren’t the problem. The framing is.

I saw this with potassium too. If you google "potassium in a banana" and then "potassium in bacon" you will get the impression that the banana is superior. But the algo is measuring a whole banana to a small fleck of bacon. When you change the prompt to "potassium in 1oz" of each, the bacon has more...
