It's so outragous that scientists can't agree on what's healthy to eat. Keto works to lose weight but reading this study suggests it's really bad long term. What is good then?

I personally concluded that long term keto didn't work for me as well. Just by noticing the effects over time. Ultimately I think any diet which becomes ideological isn't a good system. Humans used to eat locally and with the seasons.

I suppose the truth that no one says is that you just have to eat less. (healthy food is mandatory, of course)
