I admit that there are *differences* between different countries, but all governments are based on coercive authority. And, therefore, I find it incorrect to say that there are freedom-loving jurisdictions.

Or which jurisdictions you would regard as freedom-loving?

There are no freedom-loving jurisdictions. Apart from that, I totally agree.

Yes, it’s kind of weird… Many bitcoiners, who are still angry about Vitalik’s ETH premine, do not seem to give a flying fuck about all the craziness happening today

Sorry I haven't seen the episode. But it is quite easy for regulators to close bitcoin as an exit for the following reasons: 1. Censoring bitcoin transactions through compliant miningpools. 2. Taxing ...

That's why you have a gun 🤣

nostrich · 1w

What are you going to do with the gun? It is not going to help unless the whole society decides to use the gun to replace the government. Otherwise you will end up in prison for killing a government employee. So a gun sounds like a solution but it is not the solution we need for a real world problem...

The solution is to make bitcoin a better money. To make it really fungible. So that the average person can use it.

Crazy to see how reporters/journalists in the Bitcoin space are silent about this. Even Bloomberg is talking about it.

I have changed my mind on one thing. “There is no second best” is a stupid saying. It’s factually incorrect. Whenever there are options, there is the second best option too. And that’s good. People need options, and Bitcoin needs competition. Otherwise, people working on #Bitcoin might get a bit too relaxed and not take certain issues seriously.

Yes, as long there is uncertainty and we have a dynamic system, this is a nonsensical saying.

“Klippsteined his own name" 🤣 I also want to know what that means

Klippsten is not a real name. Klippen is cliffs in German, Stein is stone. They didn’t anglicise their names because they weren’t trying to fit in with Anglo-Saxon cultures ala immigrants in the United States. The anglicisation happened primarily amongst European Jews trying to hide their eth...

Fantastic!

Tell Juan Ramón Rallo to get active on Nostr! He has a huge Youtube channel, and has interviewed people like Saifedean Ammous.

It’s such a no-brainer. Rallo has PayPal links, Patreon links, et cetera…

Believe it or not, a few months ago I was wondering if he could interview you at some point. It would be great. You are both Europeans, and both of you speak English.

I think it would make a great conversation.
