Disagreements are totally okay. In fact, I like them. So, cheers -- 🍻

Do you mean that you personally know him? Or that you have known his public persona for many years?

I don't know him at all, but I did follow him for many years too. But then, like i said, I quit following him.

I think that he is intelligent. No question about it. He is just not honest. He has an agenda.

I would like to know why do you think that the only book he seems to have read about Bitcoin is "Hijacking Bitcoin"? To be honest, I have not read it but it's funny that it seems to be ***the*** bitcoin book he recommends.

And why he does not seem to get even the basics of Bitcoin or fiat right when he obviously can understand very complex systems?

Following a public persona for years doesn't equal knowing them, just buying the image crafted by handlers like Klaus Schwab.

Whatever this guy says about #Bitcoin, I do not pay attention to. Hard to say which one is more ignorant about Bitcoin, Bret or his brother Eric. You can see Bret's greatest hits below, but never forget that Eric thinks that Bitcoin is not a monetary revolution but instead a tech revolution. That one is hard to beat.

This 2.5min video is the most probable outcome for us & bitcoin in the next ~5 years. “Programable money” is a CBDC (Digital currency) regardless of what they “call” it. OP_RETURN is the fi...

Is this the same guy who:

- wondered if Elon or anyone else in the Trump admin has read "Hijacking Bitcoin";
- criticized the mainstream media and called it “journalistic malpractice” for ***not*** mentioning “the Bitcoin revelations” in the Epstein files;
- said that it’s problematic to talk about Bitcoin as a secure, decentralized and denationalized cryptocurrency, because it’s impossible to distinguish those who believe in it and are therefore invested from those who are invested in it and therefore believe;
- accused Bitcoiners of derailing discussion of alternative cryptocurrencies (=shitcoins), and said that Bitcoin is taking up all the oxygen in the room?

If yes, I don't pay too much attention to what that toilet brush look alike says.

I agree, he knows fuckall about Bitcoin. He wasn’t talking about bitcoin at all, I was. I was comparing what he said about CBDC’s to what’s happening in bitcoin.

All money is now allocated to Bitcoin, because the fiat/debt scam is not money—it’s a Ponzi scheme.

Remember that when Dollar Mike, other Bitcoin influencers camouflaged as business people and their social media megaphones repeat their words about “big money” not being invested in Bitcoin. It's not money. Bitcoin is money.

Fiat is for they/them. Bitcoin is for you.

Idk who I’m more disappointed in, Samson for co-signing Saylor’s copypasta slop or myself for ever believing Samson was an honest actor. https://image.nostr.build/2492c21722214fee77a2af9a4fe214ba...

I think that us Bitcoin plebs have a lot to learn from Saylor. About Bitcoin? No. About deception. Saylor tweets:

“Many Bitcoiners I respect support BIP 110 (***I respect you***). I understand and share their desire to protect Bitcoin (***We are on the same side, on the side of Bitcoin***), but believe the proposed cure is more dangerous than the condition (***but now you, my teammate, who is just trying to protect bitcoin, are making a mistake***).”

Samson is trying to do the same, but he is talking too much about himself.

All of this shit would be so much more credible if Saylor had at some point liked Bitcoin as peer-to-peer cash.

It’s hard for Michael Saylor to have a big influence on the #knots vs #core debate or #bip110 debate, because it’s about nodes and what noderunners “should” do. And #Saylor has never encouraged people to use #Bitcoin as peer-to-peer cash. Saylor wants Bitcoiners to treat Bitcoin as digital Manhattan, so it looks funny when he participates into *any* discussion about nodes. #MichaelSaylor

Node running goes against his business model of providing you paper bitcoin and fiat dividend products. His voice has been more about getting Bitcoin into the Zeitgeist, not so much about the nuance of self custody and the details of the Bitcoin protocol
