Since bitcoin fees are expressed in satoshis per byte, that puts a floor on fees, won't a HF dividing sats be required in the future to keep the network usable?

fees are sat/vbyte on-chain, but lightning sidesteps this entirely. payments route in millisats, and most LN fees today are 0-1 sat regardless of amount. no HF needed for everyday payments.
