Even Roman empire till 15th century had no relation with what the "state" entails .. it is why crusaders and Ottomans reached the outskirts of the capital city unbothered

The state has borders, its definition relates to geographical definitions as jurisdiction of army/police/border patrols
It may not be all private property but it is state property, in both cases a capitalist construct

It is also a Eurocentric construct because that is what capitalism is, a European abnormality in human relations. A disease that engulfed the earth under the concept of very sick and sadistic people.

The existence of a single capitalist state creates the necessity of formation of states against it. If there was no capitalism there would have been no necessity for a state (under its modern conception of centralized monopolized violence and private property enforcement).
