I’ve been putting some more thought into why villains tend to be more interesting and memorable than heroes. Joker. Thanos. Vader. Hans Landa. Hans Gruber. Hannibal Lecter. And so forth. I think p...

With my brother in the pandemic we tried to write a screenplay which led me to read HERO with 1000 FACES by Joseph Campbell which is a very difficult book but it also functions as kind of a map of the system of myth and legend which was valuable even if you don’t necessarily follow it (although arguably George Lucas did).

Stripped out a lot of woowoo but kept what I thought to be the important theory intact. I would have spent so much time bouncing around from tradition to tradition if it wasn’t for him.

Hi - a question that could benefit everyone:

I’ve had an outrageous experience with Citi over the past month (blocking my transactions, enabling dozens of fraudulent transactions, and generally providing terrible support).

I’m semi-sophisticated on BTC. I buy at swan, keep most in a hardware wallet, and a small amount in a Muun wallet. I have a real need to transact in dollars frequently through something approximating a checking account (credit card payments, mortgage payments, receive payroll, wire transfers, pay US contractors, etc).

What is the “best” way to save in BTC but be able to frequently transact (via wire, autopay, ATM, etc) with fiat?

And if there is no good way (as I expect) what is the likely future state that will allow that?

Tucker's recent statements that bitcoin was created by the CIA is now echoing through that general area of media. https://m.primal.net/JoFm.png https://m.primal.net/JoFp.png

There is a recent Peter Thiel interview in which he is asked about the future of bitcoin and he expresses how one of its original objectives re privacy he is now skeptical of because people at the CIA tell him it’s easy to track. I agree with you Lyn, but it’s part of the FUD out there. I’ll see if I can find the clip.

Besides which, all I have to do is print off a wallet and hand it to you and no one is going to be able to trace that #payment, not ever. We give up #privacy because we want the convenience of using our phones, and even #btc won't change human nature.
