Subjects that should be taught in adulting school (h/t nostr:npub1qyxlpj2gl6dt2nfvkl4yyrl6pr2hjkycrdh2dr5r42n7ktwn7pdqrdmu7u ) but unfortunately aren't: 1. How to do taxes (yuck, but would be nice to ...

Good list...admittedly I'm not the brightest on the handyman stuff. May I suggest:

6. Difference between a person income statement and a personal balance sheet

7. What a mortgage is

8. Why carrying credit card balances is generally a bad idea

Yes, definitely a basic personal finance chapter. Luckily I sorta figured this out for myself, the loan and credit card stuff, but many stumble in adulthood with this (my parents did, big time), or just the concept of time value of money πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

The headline is misleading.

You can say that there are 27m minority fork sats of fee on the minority side, however, it's not possible to say it's valued at $17,400. That presumes that the USD exchange rate is at parity across both chains. The info that can be gleaned from the minority fork block subsidy and/or txn fees can only be denominated in minority fork tokens currently.

There have to be people exchanging bitcoin or dollars for the minority chain token in order to be able to denominate in USD.

Used to seeing better info from this npub.

There was a great Livera pod with Michael Flaxman some years ago about using multiple key sources for multisig, SLP215. Another good one was SLP97.

One could make a 2 of 2 out of a HW device and a hot wallet on sparrow/electrum, back up the hot wallet super well and even in usually unrecommended ways (seed on post-it on monitor, or on the fridge) and it is more secure than the HW device alone. HW device could be 100% pwned... no dice for attacker though.

Adding another signer can never decrease security...at worst, keeps same security as the first signer alone. With any multisig, be sure to keep copies of that wallet file (aka output descriptors) accessible.

(3.125 btc/block) x (2014 blocks) ~~ 6,300 btc

That would be the opportunity cost of continuing to mine on roughneck's chain tip until the next difficulty adjustment. Didn't take fees into acct, btw.

275 PH is pointing towards that chain now...absent a hard fork, that means 1 block every 25 days, until the difficulty adjusts in 138 years. Hash rate subject to change, ofc.

Not public persay but definitely exposed. I would be surprised if the bribe wasn't real (as in after the transaction is made, they immediately post another theft txn) but it would be a crazy disincentive to run RDTS for just the chance of your life savings back...

Hey @Wicked

Fan of your content, appreciate your educational videos.

Been following your soft fork signaling tool on your website, however it looks like it's been down since the 6th

Appreciate your signal...keep up the good work!
