A bailout by the government is not capitalism. That is socialism. The USA hasn’t been capitalist since 2008, and arguably much, much earlier than that. We’re just told “this is capitalism” s...

Yup.. what we have now is essentially an amalgamation of mini socialist states (mega-corps) under one monolithic federal state. In classic fashion, the gov't has failed it's *one* job in a quasi-capitalist society, which is ensuring competition exists and killing monopolies/duopolies. Remember when Ma Bell was broken up?

Capitalists can't stand anti-trust law because it breaks their understanding of their religion. 🤭

It's painfully obvious that Russell Brand is getting the Julian Assange treatment. Just like Assange, Brand was safe for years, until his actions (or in this case, words) started affecting The Party.

And then, voila, magic rape allegations, and instantaneous coordination between media and state to squelch the issue.

I live in an environment where Muslimism is practiced by several nationalities. I have absolutely no problems with the Tatars. But with Dagestanis it will be a different story.

I reject religious fundamentalism of all kinds. The universe is too big for any one faith to claim to hold all the answers. Believe what works for you and let others live in peace.

You’d be surprised how many otherwise exceptionally well informed people believe most of this. I work in the heart of the evil empire and I’ve tried to orange pill a few of my closest friends, w...

This is something I've noticed about a lot of the "smart" people, like in tech, where I work.
Most of them are book smart and highly specialized in one area of expertise. But "book" is where their smarts end. The rest of their existence is one big exercise in the Appeal to Authority logical fallacy.
I had the advantage of growing up in some interesting/sketchy circumstances which required "street" smarts. Like for example, knowing when you're in danger, or when you're being swindled, taken advantage of, or manipulated... and this sense is totally missing from most of the people I work with. It's so surreal.
