“But you can’t spend Bitcoin anywhere”. …well, except for almost everywhere in South Africa. Bitcoin as everyday money is taking root around the world. Gradually in some places and quickly in others. The past couple of years have been massive for Bitcoin as everyday money and South Africa is a major pulse of global growth.

It would be excellent to see more Bitcoin Circular Economy projects take shape in Europe, Canada, the U.S. and other wealthier countries. Indeed, the need to pivot gradually from the dominant “store of value” use to Bitcoin as day to day, permissionless, peer to peer money is becoming more urgent.
