@nprofile1q... In German it's Kopfkino (lirerally head cinema): the movie you play in your head about a given situation you either anticipate or fear. Funnily enough it has an equivalent in the Italian idiom "farsi un film" (mi sono fatto un film, si è fatto un film).

In Italian I guess vetusto: it's an old fashioned adjective indicating something very old or ancient. You can be an ass and use it in a derogatory way or be classy and use it as intended, to express respect or admiration for something that has survived the centuries without losing its swag.
