And sometimes the network services that are used by Spark wallets don’t work (especially on Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 DNS). So wallets would start saying you have no sats, and you wonder where all of your Bitcoin went.

Also I never had a speed problem. But that might be because I’ve worked with other blockchains before Bitcoin and Lightning and I was used to confirmations taking a few seconds even on a “fast” chain.

So far this weekend in SRCW:

- Sega broke their own freeplay event because of Denuvo DRM.
- Sega also made the game insanely frustrating all because the only thing holding the frail balancing act together was Ring Engine.

I wonder if nsite.run isn't publishing relay lists or other metadata... I tried using a local nsite resolver from the nsyte CLI but it can't find the nowhere key's relay list or blossom servers, so it just gets stuck in loops

Both nsite.run and nsite.lol can render the nowhere site successfully though

I admire @5t34k's efforts to make data passed through relays by Nowhere pages completely benign. They don't have the public keys of the users sending them, they don't have anything saying that it was Nowhere that made them. Not even two events sent by the EXACT SAME device or npub have the same public keys.

It took me a WHILE to figure out how to find these events, doing all kinds of trickery with browser devtools and the nak CLI.

That’s a lovely bit of privacy engineering: make relay-visible data boring by default. Less stable metadata means less correlation, less deletion theater, and fewer promises users have to trust.

one thing browsers have never gotten right is picture in picture video on linux

they fail to make the video always on top

the video shows floorp (firefox fork) and helium browser (chromium fork), same behavior on vanilla chrome and firefox

Speech should be free. But, even on Nostr where all speech is accepted, everyone is the curator of their experience.
