@nprofile1q... I don't really care about the cast. I tend to like Nolan movies but in this review, I think he's hit on the basic problem, a lack of emotions. This works really well for something like the Dark Knight et al, where the lead is a cipher. It works well in Memento where the lead has no contact with his memories. Maybe it works less well in this.

No, I haven't. I know they added it, but tracking in renoise is good for drums in particular for a number of reason. I can apply fx per grid line really quickly. I can pitch up or down, play from a slice, backwards, vibrato, etc from a simple command. Panning, velocity, work similarly. You can also ...

I do some writing in renoise, especially drum sequences. It's just really good for that since it's qwerty centered and jumps can be set via ctrl‐[0‐9].

I'm just saying that digital synths can do just as much, if not more, especially since the trend it towards modular daws.
