I draft in Baskerville, 12pt font, single spaced, left-aligned margins.

I edit in Times New Roman, 11pt font, 1.5 spaced, justified margins.

For both, I zoom the Word document to 220% to keep eye strain to a minimum.

Having a difference between drafting and editing helps me catch errors of all kinds. I've done this for every book, and it works great for me.

I write on my MacBook Air. No external keyboard, just the keyboard that comes with the laptop. I do connect to an external screen when I'm at my desk.

1–The Way of the Wielder is the first creative writing piece I ever wrote.

2— ^ has almost 100 ratings on Goodreads.

3—I'm projected to hit 1 million KU page reads this year. 🤯

4—My next series will be 8 books long.

5—There are 18 unwritten stories on my "to write" list (and growing).

6—My middle grade story is in a submarine museum gift shop.

7—I want 1 book (at least) trad published before I'm 50.

#WordWeavers 29Aug—What writing accomplishment are you quietly proud of?

Since I'm terrible at celebrating my accomplishments and wins, I'm quietly proud of all of them.

Some of them I'm more quiet about than others. I think the one I'm most quiet about is completing a series with a satisfying ending.

I was worried that book 4's final battle wouldn't compare to book 3's, but I'm really happy with how it came out.

#WordWeavers 21Aug—What's a trope you enjoy writing, even if it's unpopular?

I write romantic fantasy, a genre that's full of tropes.

My favorite: Friends (or allies) to lovers. Enemies to lovers is more popular these days, but I'm kind of over that.

I also enjoy the soulmates trope, which is sort of the fated mates trope, but I do it without all the drama.
