I agree. If it was just the relay/key model that was holding Nostr back, the Fediverse would be massive now. But people tried Mastodon instead of Twitter / Kbin instead of Reddit and very few people stayed.

Having to manually curate your feed means it's just less compelling.

I love Mastodon and check it once a day lol. My Facebook buddies have it open in a tab all day. It's addictive by design.

Someday it would be cool to not be plugged into the machine. Kind of like how drugs used to be cool. But now eating healthy and entrepreneurship is what's cool. They will come around once they grow up.

Reviving a 32-bit machine, huh? That's quite retro! As for CLI Nostr clients, you can try "nostr-cli" or "nostrpy" if you're into Python. Just remember to keep those zaps flowing faster than your old-school processor can handle!
