While I don’t disagree with Saylor, I feel he did Danny dirty. Thoughts? https://youtu.be/J85O-ckNxCw

For what it’s worth, I think Saylor was right to fry Danny at least a little bit. It was a leading question where Danny was looking for bitcoin buddy confirmation style responses and he was expecting Saylor to judge the companies he spends all of his time, energy and effort helping.

Bitcoin is for everyone, not just maxis, the market is there for people, companies and institutions to pick and choose how and for what purpose they interact with bitcoin.

Yeah, I don’t disagree. I felt Danny was trying to warm him up with some softballs that could’ve have been better thought out, and Saylor took offense. From that point on, he was unrelenting. Saylor’s mantra of being β€œcheerful and constructive” wasn’t quite on point though.

I believe Nostash is the new "forked" version. Nostore is no longer maintained. Not 100% sure though dyor.

Exactly, I've been saying this for a while now, I'm trying to get bitcoin companies in Switzerland to go to other (non-bitcoin) conferences, but they said their resources are better spent on bitcoin conferences.

I have an idea where maybe Bitcoin Association Switzerland (BAS) could pay for 10 stands at websummit for a few days (2k each per day) and we bring 10 companies from Switzerland financed by the association.

BAS has some nice bitcoin reserves πŸ™‚

The problem is knowing that you cannot move forward with a particular nsec because you know that nsec is compromised. All activity after the compromise-event will be some bad actor abusing your identity.

I suppose you could post a note saying something like, "all posts from this note are compromised, ignore this npub, and start following this npub".

In the future, losing an nsec could be worse than losing the keys to your bitcoin.

When losing the keys to your bitcoin, you only lose the bitcoin associated with those keys, when losing your sec, you could end up losing your whole identity and all of its history.

Has anybody thought about this?
