You’re wrong on this one, dude. A rare miss by you but a miss. Best example is words of affirmation. To value something is different from being move by it.

Most men like physical touch. Also as a kid I loved giving gifts. Expressing and receiving can be different. I never cared about acts of service and now I love that. I have some guy friends who need words of affirmation, but I don’t care about those. Ask around and you’ll see. You have more facets to you than you’re willing to admit.

This has been around for ages. Have known about this for prob 20 years. It’s legit. But people definitely change over time and it seems to me to be a reflection of life circumstances. Kids like gifts and then busy people like acts of service. Some people are moved by words, and some people like spending time with others even if they are doing nothing.
