My field was political theory, specifically political epistemology & ethics. But I have an extensive background in social-science research, in statistical/quantitative and qualitative modes. And thanks to my current research I’ve spent the last four years immersing myself in archives and consulting with curators and archivists, so I’ve already begun to learn how they work. I love libraries—in fact, I’ve joked, so much so that I’m building one of my own at home. And I confess: I’m curious about everything, and I love to connect people with work and materials that helps them answer questions and solve problems. It might be very good for me to pursue my research and writing interests on my own schedule, without the timeline pressure of the US academic tenure track. 4/5
