When a good friend of mine, a staunch Bitcoiner, told me that he still couldn't comprehend or find any logic in my radical phase of change -considering my background as an expert in Austrian economics...
Awesome write up!
An additional thought for your friend is that money supply is still only half the equation to determine inflation: production/ the amount of offered goods and services is the other.
An increase in a money supply creates inflationary pressure, but deflation could still occur if more goods and services are produced.
So a steady or steadily diminishing amount of new money supply is great to incentivize security & stability for XMR and still doesn’t mean inflation.
Furthermore, it’s far better to have peers gaining the benefit for their work, rather than warmongering thugs of the state gaining the benefit of new money supply.
