I did in fact read all of it. It's a great piece. The problem is, I don't agree with Bitcoin Core's changes and path forward either. I don't want to pick the lesser of two evils. I'd rather look forwa...
But what is the other solution Derek?
2 problems need a solution
1. The way core has been operating seems out of integrity and alignment with the principles and values of Bitcoin and Satoshi.
2. Node runners should have a choice of which implementation we run if the main software causes non-monetary bloat and potential storage of you know what.
I don’t know the exact technical solution but I do know my trust in core is broken and that healthy debate is necessary to make Bitcoin stronger and more incorruptible so we can have a chance at separating money from the evil surveillance state.
What is of greater concern is analogous to the COVID era mindset of “trust the science and don’t question the experts” attitude of many people who have a financial incentive to support the way core devs have been behaving as well as the actual changes pushed through.
There is way more to be done and discussed to make Bitcoin stronger and less corruptible for our children and our children’s children etc.
My prayers are that integrity and common sense will prevail among all Bitcoiners so we can burn the old corrupt fiat system down by building and growing a more resilient, decentralized, and powerful monetary network like Satoshi envisioned.
