I think we were cooking a big boy 4 lb roast at the time (or was it 6?), so it wasn't too crazy, but yeah, the occasional bite had unmistakable aftertaste of the peppers lol. I only joke about he weather cuz I have a friend over there I spoke with recently, so I know it's extra cold these days.

I am not surprised either, as we recently followed a recipe from our butcher for a big roast we cooked. It included dumping an entire jar of pepperoncinis in it 😳 But it turned out really good (I think slightly less than the whole jar would have been optimal, as it was a bit too sour by a hair, imo), so I could see where you're going with this.
