What about the resiliency of the mint? Something goes wrong and you lose everything? Is there a way to backup and restore or have a disaster recovery solution for when things go south without being able to touch people's funds or extract/obtain the keys? I mean we are talking about money here, not some random self host project. Not criticizing here, just being really curious.

For what I know, the european GDPR never mention privacy, it just regulates how companies and entities need to manage data in order to stay legal (security, retain time, deletion, ttransmission to third parties, those kind of things).

The problem with Linux phones is that Linux was never designed with Security in mind, and on mobile devices you want security before everything else, otherwise without security you don't even have privacy: what if they take your phone or you lose it? The current state of Linux doesn't help with that, it's like running around with an unlocked and rooted android device.

So right now, unfortunately, the only solution is Graphene OS.
