The Autistici/Inventati (A/I) server case (it was located in Amsterdam, seized by dutch authorities on request of US agencies) show that #DigitalSovereignty is not limited to running your software on machines in the EU. It actually is about real sovereignty. Why did the dutch authorities feel obliged to do this? The @European Commission should start a thorough review of the agreements with the US under that perspective, in my opinion.

Dear friends from the U.S. My friends over here in Europe wonder why you let all of this happen. Why your congress and senate seem to be a useless collection of puppets that at max care about infighting. Why you let your Supreme Court become a partisan rubberstamp club. Why you haven’t even tried to impeach your president. You don’t have to explain any of that. Fix it :)

Political representation has been shaped around money and both political parties are structured around politicians who sit at the top of a fundraising and patronage network. The patronage consultant network makes money through expensive media outreach. They don’t make any money doing direct inter...

The Age of Defiance

Be the positive force for yourself and those surrounding you. Share ideas and turn them into projects that solve problems. Be respectful of the environment in everything you do. Listen to Disco (or other uplifting music you prefer). Dance your worries away at least once a week. With strangers. Friends. Or alone. Take a weekly walk in nature to recharge. Enjoy cooking.

Don't ignore bad news. But be defiant. Build solutions instead of getting lost in problems.

Do it :)

97% of messages on #Meshtastic and #Meshcore that I receive are variations of “Hello”, “Test”, “good morning from $Location” and “saw your message, X hops” in almost every channel people get working. Not a lot more happening. I think mesh networking is really waiting for a killer app. And no, that should NOT be some form of off-grid, prepper, radically unsocial thing.

there is bad design on mastodon gui. That menu shows up only if you are already gone to account menu and go again for the hamburger menu -> account. It's kinda antipattern for gui.

There are a lot of more for less abandoned or dormant services out there that once promised to analyse your "reach" on the fediverse or services that promised automation for posts that you once tried (thus giving them authorisation to post toots) and forgot about. But that token remains. And if someone buys/hacks such a service, they might get access to these tokens and boom. So make it a habit to check which apps/services you've authorised and revoke those tokens when not needed!
